Exception of Antagonism? | 20 |
Embark! Summer Ocean Adventure gets its second reprint, making its debut in English. In this event, free quests reward Magic Barrel and
Sea of Light Chart, which can be exchanged in the event shop for goods. Characters featured in the event will have all their cards increase the quantity of these exchangeable drops by 30%. New to the event shop is the AR Card Exception of Antagonism?, which will increase exchangeable drop quantity by 20% when equipped. The card itself confers Blowback resistance, which can help for these free quests which feature enemies that can inflict it.
The gacha for both this event and Unfurl the Sails! A Golden Treasure Ship will be re-released.
The 5 character quests from this event have been localized in English and will be re-released. Additionally, a new character quest with Ganglie and Benten will also be released.
Lastly, during this event, Volume 6 of Skill Quests will be released.
Synopsis
The Protagonist and Benten are pulled from Tokyo Bay coast into a collision unknowingly caused by Typhon. They encounter pirates (including Ganglie, who has been made into a ship hand) and merfolk, before getting caught in the tsunami caused by Black Storm . Benten gets caught in the Black Storm's tides, and is abducted by merfolk. Meanwhile, the Protagonist and Eita are rescued by Makara and brought aboard Captain Ahab's Ship Sacred Artifact.
The crew learn through a merfolk encounter of Benten's status and make arrangements for a trade of Benten for the hostages held by pirates. The crew stops at a port town for information on these pirates, and encounter Typhon and Ganglie on the way. After having these two join, the crew sets off to rescue the merfolk hostages from a pirate base by using Typhon as a distraction by having him imitate Black Storm.
The merfolk hostages are rescued, and are traded for Benten. The crew then determines a plan to escape the collision is by heading northwest, which is opposite to the southeast invisible borders of the sea (originating from Tokyo Bay's borders) that Ahab and Makara previously identified. They encounter the Black Storm, who then tries to sink their ship to kill Typhon. Typhon discloses that he believes Black Storm is the personified form of his associated regrets of his past in Olympus, where he played the role of a world destroyer by overturning oceans. Ahab incapacitates Black Storm with his Shaft Sacred Artifact, and attempts to sacrifice himself so the rest of the crew can escape the tsunami and collision. The crew, however, successfully rescue him through a plan by Ganglie using everyone's Rules: Typhon brings the Protagonist closer to the Black Storm, the Protagonist cuts the rope holding Ahab to the impaled Black Storm, Eita pierces a path through the tsunami, Ganglie stabilizes the path, and Benten redirects the winds to push the Ship forward. Typhon directly challenges the Black Storm's powers with his own, protecting the ship and having both of them exhaust their energy.
When both have been exhausted, Typhon admits he realized it was him and not the Black Storm that caused the collision (although in truth it was both), and begins to desummon. His desummoning eventually terminates the collision, returning Benten and the Protagonist to the Tokyo Bay coast. The two then make plans to reunite with the rest of the crew in Tokyo.
